On Saturday Jordan Brand plans on releasing a pair of the OG Air Jordan 1 high in Celtic green colors. In Michael Jordan’s earlier days when Larry Bird and the Celtics ruled the eastern conference in the NBA, MJ and his Bulls would see early playoff exits because of the boys in Green. And to pay homage to MJ’s early struggles against them, Jordan Brand decided to release a colorway to represent that time. Jordan Brand also took the time to rebrand the shoe not with the famous jumpman logo but the days when MJ’s air jordan was branded with Nike Air . The colorway also resembles the Boston Garden floor texture from Larry Bird’s playing days during the 80′s.
The shoe should be in some mom and pop store since we’re only a few days from the release. The usual big box retailers like Footlocker, Niketown and Finishline. Online retailers Eastbay and Spurbe should have a full size run of the shoe. Take one more look before the shoe drops this sat.
